Swedish Massage

A Swedish massage focuses on overall relaxation, circulation, and physical and mental wellness.  Swedish massage includes gliding, kneading, tapping, stretching, and cross-friction strokes.

A licensed massage therapist uses these massage techniques to improve circulation, improve the flow of lymphatic fluid (a key component of the immune system), and relax muscles overall.

Sports Massage

Sports massage goes beyond promoting relaxation and pain relief.

It can help improve performance and prevent injury - in addition to helping the body recover from injuries associated with physical activity.

Sports can be repetitive, especially for runners, cyclists, racquet sports players and weightlifters. Sports massage helps release that muscle tension and promote tissue repair and muscle balance for a safer next workout.

Do not let the name fool you - Sports massage isn't only for the athlete theres many benefits of this type of massage for non athletes as well.

Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage massage is based on a single principal motion, with a straight stretch sufficient to open the initial lymphatics and stimulate the lymph angions, supported by a little lateral motion. Lymphatic drainage motions use stationary circles as their basis, with the emphasis on pushing the lymph towards the correct nodes

Who would lymphatic drainage be good for?

Lymphatic drainage treatments could be relevant to a wide range of individuals wishing to detox and enjoy good all-round health. If your approach to health and fitness is not what it perhaps should be, you may feel aches, pains and even swelling (lymphedema), or risk the deterioration of vital organs and glands. This is where lymphatic drainage treatment may help.

Also Breast cancer patients/survivors

Lymphedema is often the most dreaded complication of breast cancer treatment, along with pain and loss of range of motion. In addition, physical therapists and nurses are not trained in lymphatic drainage.

A massage therapist trained in lymphatic drainage is a valuable part of a cancer patient’s health care team.

Kinesiology taping

Kinesiology taping (KT) is a therapeutic tool and has become increasingly popular within the sporting arena. Taping has been used for a long time for the prevention and treatment of sporting injuries. KT is not only used for sporting injuries but for a variety of other conditions. It was developed by Japanaese Chiropractor Dr. Kenzo Kase in the 1970's with the intention to alleviate pain and improve the healing in soft tissues. There are many benefits to KT, including: proprioceptive facilitation; reduced muscle fatigue; muscle facilitation; reduced delayed-onset muscle soreness; pain inhibition; enhanced healing, such as reducing edema, and improvement of lymphatic drainage and blood flow.

KT taping can be performed as an add-on to a regular session or as a stand alone treatment.

In this way, cupping therapy can be used to cure many issues. Cupping therapy can be used to help speed up muscle recovery, speed the healing of injured muscles, lower high blood pressure, treat rheumatism, and back and neck pain. Mental conditions such as migraines, anxiety, depression and fatigue also respond very well to the cup therapy treatment. Cup therapy has shown to have cosmetic benefits also and can help remove cellulite.
